Futuristic Furai Is The New Mazda Car

Road Travel Road Trip

I am always amazed by new car models that are engineered with futuristic features. And this one that I have found earlier did not fail to hit me with a dropped jaw. Woooah. My bulging eyes are again focused on the details of the astonishing Mazda Furai. "Furai," referring to "sound of the wind", is the fifth evolution of Mazda's new design language exemplified in its initial Nagare concept (Nagare refers to "flow"). This working concept has begun life as one of Mazda's 2006 season ALMS P2 race cars.

The following are the specs and significant features of Mazda Furai

Road Travel Road Trip
  • Built on a Courage C65 chassis
  • Powered by a 450-bhp 3-rotor rotary engine, ethanol (E100)-powered concept
  • Complex outer shell that clearly follows its predecessor's design trends
  • Front-fascia channels direct air to the brake ducts
  • Sculpted flanks create turbulence which draws air to the side ducts, keeping the engine cool in conjunction with the radiators mounted in the car's side pods
  • Aft of the gullwing doors, flow-directing details continue to guide air over the car's rear haunches toward a large, functioning, adjustable-element spoiler. The sharp element you see protruding from the roof is called an A
  • Air Fang that optimizes ram air induction

This new concept car will surely make a hit in autoworld. (I wish my dad has enough savings to buy me one.) With Mazda Furai’s sophisticated aerodynamic design, even batman will dump his own batmobile to take it for a ride.

The unique design of Furai took an American Le Mans Series (ALMS) racecar and translated its appeal of the Courage C65 chassis.

Its aggressive look and strong appeal are reminiscent of the past concepts such as Hakaze, Ryuga, and Taiki. Take a closer look on the details and recite your own woooahs…
