Yes! Roadster

YES! Have you heard about it? The Yes? Not yet? Neither had I, until I found out that Funke & Will AG brought its wares to the 2008 Chicago auto show. This German company has been producing little sports cars since 2001; and this was when the first generation of the YES! Roadster was introduced.
American buyers soon plan to purchase version 2.0 of the low-volume two-seater already available in countries throughout Europe as well as New Zealand and Japan.
If you are one of the enthusiasts thirsty for roadsters like this, then start deciding on which flavor should you choose. There are actually two choices. These are normally aspirated 3.2 or 3.2 Turbo. These two flavors are powered by an Audi-sourced 3.2-liter VR6, mounted in the rear. The hand-built car uses an aluminum space frame that was designed and developed by Herbert Funke and Philipp Will- the company's namesakes. At approximately 2000 lbs, the roadster’s weight is similar to that of a Lotus Elise.
How about the performance? It is also Lotus-like, even if price tags are about one and a half times those of comparable Hethel-built cars. The $77,995 Roadster 3.2 can give 255 hp and will reach 60 mph in 4.8 seconds. An excess of $20,000 will get you the turbocharged version that produces 100 more hp and lowers the 0-to-60-mph time to 3.8 seconds. Won’t it be fast enough? If not, then you can add the $7995 turbo upgrade for a total of 415 hp.
Not cheap at all huh? Once you consider that creature comforts are all optional, seemingly to keep weight down, you will see that it is never expensive at all. If you need heated seats, removable hard top, and a navigation system, never fret, for they are made available at low cost.
